This shop offers aesthetics that are both natural and modern, innovative as well as traditional, all encapsulated in an open, bright, welcoming, and relaxing environment. By combining fashion, home, and café, they break the rules of a common coffee shop or boutique. This is the kind of rule breaking that is usually only ascribed to cosmopolitan lifestyles. Jacqueline Azria, Paris native and Paulette’s founder, spent more than 20 years dressing celebrities, such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz, and editing the pages of highly distributed women's fashion magazines. Now she is eager to share bit of her cool, effortless sense of style, her deep passion for fashion, food, interior design as well as her avant-guard and lighthearted spirit. The store is named after her mother, Paulette.
Jacqueline Azria of Paulette, is the 2021 Sets a High Bar Business Award, given to businesses that set a high bar on service and care, providing excellent daily services and the best quality to the community. Paulette is one of the first businesses to open on Main St in the morning and one of the last to close in the evening, and Jacqueline has quickly become one of the most recognizable faces in Cold Spring. Her charm, dedication and expert sense of style pervade this concept space, which she describes as “a fun 'bazaar chic' destination where you discover things as you walk through while sipping excellent coffee.” Paulette has indeed become a destination for visitors and residents alike, and we hope it will be for a long time.
