What is the New York Health Act?

At last month’s virtual breakfast, the Chamber members Rebeca Ramirez and Jeff Mikkelson, with their associate Conner Brennen, gave a short presentation on the New York Health Act. They are working to educate Philipstown residents about this proposed legislation and are conducting a survey on health care needs and expenses in the town. The New York Health Act is one or two votes away from being approved by the state legislature. It would reimagine health care for all New Yorkers. Details are available here: https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/bills/2019/a5248?intent=support
