SPACES SOUGHT FOR HALDANE STUDENT ART EXHIBITS

Everyone wants to encourage local young artists. And the Cold Spring Chamber of Commerce is always looking for ways to support the programs and students of the Haldane Central School District. Next year the Chamber will work with the Haldane Arts Alliance and the Haldane Foundation to expand the public exhibition spaces for student art in the village business district.

Student art has been displayed in the windows of Foodtown with great success. Additional exhibition spaces in the business district are needed on the following dates:

FIRST FRIDAY, JANUARY 3: Works by students in kindergarten through third grade.

FIRST FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 7: Art projects inspired by the civil rights struggle that will be created by Mr. Dudar’s fifth-grade class at the end of a month’s study of civil rights.

FRIDAY, MARCH 20: The Haldane Foundation’s twentieth-year anniversary party. The occasion will include a fundraising party at the Depot Restaurant and a student art exhibit on Main Street. More details to come...

We are looking for businesses with interior gallery spaces or windows for exhibiting two-dimensional or three-dimensional artworks. If you want to participate, email us at info(at)coldspringnychamber.com. Please specify the dimensions of the available space, the acceptable format(s) of works (2D, 3D), and the month(s) of availability. You must be able to hang or set up the art yourself.
