Making The 2020 Holiday Safe And Bright

Spread+the+cheer.jpg

Given the limitations on holiday travel and gatherings this year, local businesses are working extra hard to make the season cheerful and bright. Shopping for your gifts on Main Street, you’ll experience magical holiday windows.

The Chamber has strings of solar-powered tree lights to share with Chamber members who want to put them up on a tree outside their Main Street establishments.

There is a limited quantity, and they will be given on a first come first serve basis. If you wish to participate in helping light Main Street’s trees, you can pick up lights at Flowercup Wine (82 Main St.). You will need to supply the lights with three AA batteries. Please note that lights may remain on trees until February 1. Please be sure to take them down at the appropriate time.

Unfortunately, with covid-19 on the rise and gatherings and indoor spaces limited to prevent a spread, the Chamber could not see a safe way to throw our annual holiday cocktail party or manage volunteers for our annual Main Street candle luminaria event, Cold Spring Aglow.

However, with the vaccines on the way, we hope that we will be able to celebration together to mark the end of the pandemic. Until then, let’s keep up the good work to prevent a spread and keep businesses open.
