Sue Costigan,

Treasurer

Sue Costigan joined the board to take on the role of treasurer in December of 2020.  Born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, she has lived in Nelsonville for the last 32 years raising her family with her husband and best friend, Tom. Although educated as a civil engineer at Villanova University, it was motherhood that became, and still is, her passion.  With adult children, the need for a second career became what is now The Endless Skein, a yarn store catering to those who enjoy fiber craft.  Sue is involved in every facet of the store, from retail and bookkeeping, to inventory management and staffing.  Her experience on the boards of Philipstown Little League and Hudson Highlands Girl Scouts will lend itself to work on the Chamber Board of Directors, where she looks forward to working with the other Board members.

Jeff Mikkelson,

Advocacy Chair

Jeff joined the board in the role of Advocacy Chair in December of 2020. He is a recent transplant to Cold Spring by way of New York City, where he has been in business as an editorial, advertising and fine art photographer for twenty years. Jeff grew up in Kansas, went to college in California and holds two degrees in philosophy—a subject he has taught and published in. He is Co-Chair of two grassroots organizations and a Regional Coordinator for the Campaign for NY Health, a coalition of individuals, organizations and businesses across the State of New York advocating for passage of the New York Health Act, which would guarantee comprehensive healthcare to every resident and worker in the state. His research skill, philosophical approach to policy and problem solving, and measured diplomacy are exceptional assets to the Chamber board.

Please join us as we welcome them to their new positions on the board. We look forward to working with them and are grateful to their volunteering to step up and take on these key board member positions.
