MEETING RECAP: FIRST IN-PERSON BREAKFAST IN 18 MONTHS

Judging by the turnout, it looks like our board members are not the only ones who are Zoomed-out! It was so great to see so many business owners and community members in-person, despite the pouring rain.

The Putnam History Museum hosted us for this first in-person Chamber event since March 2019. Everyone enjoyed perusing the galleries and getting a chance to see the space – if you haven’t been in a while, we can’t recommend it enough.

Cassie Ward, the museum’s Executive Director, gave us an update on their upcoming programming. The Chamber’s Acting President, Nat Prentice, discussed the upcoming arrival of the Seastreak Cruises and welcomed our attendees, including two new members: massage therapist Lauren Ferguson and Jesse Lunin-Pack, who recently launched the new coworking space Philipstown Office Space.

Philipstown Board Member Jason Angell gave a detailed presentation of his “Share the Growth” proposal, which is seeking bipartisan support throughout Putnam County. Angell’s presentation was followed by a Q&A. All of that and we managed to wrap up by 10:30am sharp!

We are excited to be able to host these events in person again. What topics or speakers would you like to see featured? Please tell us in the comments below.

The Chamber is grateful to Board Member Jacqueline Azria, owner of Paulette, for the delicious pastries, orange juice and hot coffee that we were able to enjoy at the Museum’s covered porch! We are also thankful to have the support of our generous hosts at the Putnam History Museum.
