Saying Goodbye to Jim Farnorotto

Dear Community,

We have some sad news to share. Jim Farnorotto, one of the owners of the Gift Hut on Main Street, passed away during the night. Jim was a beam of light, laughter, and positive energy on Main Street and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Jim was a former Chamber board member and both he, his wife, Francine, and his brother-in-law, Steve Merando, have been a positive force on Main Street and active members in the community and the Chamber of Commerce.

The Gift Hut will be closed while the family mourns the loss and makes preparations.

A service will be held at Clinton Funeral Home on Monday, November 18, 4:00-7:00 p.m., and a church service will be held at St. Mary’s Church Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. with a reception hosted by the family in the parish hall afterward.

The Chamber is collecting cards and money to give to the family to share our condolences and help cover the family’s funeral costs. If you wish to donate cash or a check please drop it off at Flowercup Wine, at 82 Main St. Please write checks out to Francine Merando Farnorotto.

There will be card making stations at Cold Spring Coffeehouse, The Country Goose, Supplies for Creative Living, and on the window of the Gift Hut storefront.

Please help us to express our condolences and show them how much they mean to our community.
